Questions / Problems about Facilities

  • Do you have lockers for valuable items?

    Yes, we do have lockers but recommend you to bring your own padlock.
    (Padlocks can be purchased from reception for 150yen or free rental padlocks are available at reception.)

  • Is there a charge for bath towels, shampoo ect?

    Free shampoo, conditioner & body soap are provided in all showers & bathrooms.
    Bath towels are available for free for guests in private room ( It's available for 100yen for guests in dormitory room ). 

  • Do you have a parking lot?

    Car parking is not available at the hostel.
    Public parking can be found within walking distance from the hostel (1,500yen - 2,500yen per night).

  • Is there a convenience store or supermarket nearby?

    There is a convenience store and supermarket within short walking distance.

  • Is Wi-Fi available?

    Yes, free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hostel.

  • I don't know how to use the air conditioner.

    Please check the instructions on the remote control stand or in the drawer.

  • Equipment in the room does not work. or Other equipment or fixture problems.?

    We are very sorry, but we are unable to take care of the problem outside of reception hours. Please ask reception staffs after 9:00 a.m. the next day.

  • No hot water in shower

    Turn on the hot water faucet and wait for a few minutes. If there is no hot water after a few minutes, there may be a problem. Please ask reception staffs during office hours on the next day. There is a shared shower on the 4th floor so please use it during the problem.

  • I want to use the washing machine and dryer.

    After using the machines, please pay the fee at the reception desk the next day. If you are checking out before reception hours, Please leave the fee at the reception desk. it's 500 yen.

  • I need to know the password for wi-fi.

    Wi-fi information is on the note behind the door.

  • Where can I smoke ?

    Please smoke at the balcony on the 5th floor . Smoking is not allowed inside the building. (In case of smoking, 10,000 yen fine + actual cost will be charged.)

  • Tissue paper or toilet paper ran out.

    Please ask reception staffs during reception hours the next day. If necessary, you can use tissues and toilet paper in the common space.

  • Wi-fi is not available in the room.

    The Wi-fi information is on the note behind the room door, Please check the network name and password again in order to connect Wi-fi. If you still cannot connect, there may be a problem with the wi-fi. Please ask reception staffs during reception hours on the following day. If necessary, Please also use the wi-fi service on the 1st floor.

  • Toilet does not flush.

    Please ask staff the next day. There are common toilets on the 1st floor and in the laundry room on 5th floors, Please use them until the toilet is repaired.

  • Bathtub / washbasin is clogged.

    Please try removing hair and debris from the drain. If the water still does not flow, please let reception staffs know the problem again the next day. There is a common shower on the 4th floor so please use it tonight.

  • Air conditioner does not work.

    It may take a few minutes to start working. Please wait for a while after turning on the switch. If the air conditioner does not start working after about 5 minutes, it may be broken. Please ask reception staffs during reception hours on the next day.

  • Water leaks from air conditioner.

    Please ask reception staffs during reception hours the next day. There are bath towels at the reception desk. Please place the bath towels under the air conditioner today. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Room light does not work.

    Please try turning the light switch on and off several times. If the light still does not turn on, please ask reception staffs the next day. There is a small light in the common space on the first floor, so you can bring it to your room if necessary.

  • I am staying in room 501. Where is the shower ?

    There is a common shower in front of the elevator on the 4th floor.

  • I am staying in room 501. Is there only one toilet?

    There are common toilets on the 1st floor and in the laundry room on 5th floors,

  • Where are the remote controls for air conditioner, hair dryer and tissue paper ?

    [ Double , twin rooms ] They are in a drawer near the bed or are on the desk next to bench. [ 4beds private room, Family room ] Remote control is on the shelf. Hair dryer is hanged next to the washbasin.

Questions about Services

    • Can you hold my luggage before check-in time ?

      Yes, we can hold your luggage from 8:00am until you check-in (between 16:00pm-22:00pm).

    • Do you provide any food?

      No we do not provide any food however you are free to use our guest kitchen at any time.
      Cutlery, cooking utensils, basic seasonings, microwave ect are all available in our guest kitchen. Free coffee & tea is also provided.

    • Do you have rental bicycles?

      No, we do not have any bicycle rental at the hostel however there is bicycle rental shop near Asakusa station or Asakusabashi station (300yen/day).

    • Can you store my luggage after check-out ?

      Yes, we can store your luggage for free until 19:00pm on the day that you check-out.

      * It is also possible to leave your luggage overnight for 500 yen/bag/night.

    • Do you have any childrens' rates?

      No, we do not have any childrens' rates, however children aged 6 years and under may stay free of charge if they share a bed with a parent (Children aged 6 years and under may not stay in dormitory rooms).

    • Do you accept credit cards?

      We accept VISA, MasterCard

    • Do you have a curfew?

      No, we have no curfew.

    • I want to check out before reception hours.

      You can check out as long as you leave your key at the reception.

      After sending your photos of passport, you can check out as long as you leave your key at the reception desk.

      Please wait until 9:00 if possible.
      Staff may arrive before 9:00 a.m. to prepare for the reception.
      If you must check out, please be sure to check back for billing information whichwe will send to you later.

    • Can I leave my bags / luggage when I check out early morning?

      You can leave your luggage next to the reception desk, but we will not be responsible for any loss. Please take care of your belongings by yourself and be sure to return by 19:00. If you are unable to return by 19:00, please contact us during our business hours. Over night storage is available at 500 yen per baggage per day.

    • I want to dispose of my suitcase.

      It's possible to dispose of your suitcases but it may cost 3000 yen to 10000 yen. Please be sure to notify us if you wish to dispose of your suitcase. If you leave your suitcase without informing us, we will charge you later.

    • I want to change my bed / type of room.

      If you wish to change a bed or type of room, please ask reception staff during reception hours the next day if it is possible to arrange a different room/different bed.


      [ For guests in dormitory ]
      Please do not change beds without confirmation from our staff, even if the bed seems available. The bed may have already been occupied by the other guests who have already arrived earlier than you.

    • I need additional bedding.

      Please ask reception staffs during the reception hours on the next day.

    • I want to change or rent towels.

      Towels are available at the reception desk. Private room guests are free to use them. Dormitory guests are required to pay 100 yen per towel at the reception desk the next day.

    • I want to extend my stay.

      Please make reservations through our website below. https://reserve.489ban.net/client/ks-oasis/4/plan Please note that if there are no rooms available on website, you will not be able to make a reservation. Even if you are able to make a reservation, you may need to change a room if you booked a different type of room. Please check with staffs the next day for details.

    • I want to add more guests.

      We are sorry, but we cannot accept additional guests after the reception has closed. If you wish to add more guest, please contact us on the following day.

    • I want to invite visitor in the hostel.

      After reception hours, non-guests are not allowed to enter the building. Non-guests can enter only on the 1st floor during reception hours.

    • I want my deposit back because I'm checking out early in the morning.

      Please come to the reception by 19:00 on the day before check-out. Deposits are non-refundable after the reception closes.

    • I want to take my luggage out from the storage.

      You can take luggage out during reception hours. Please come to the reception next day during the reception hours.

              • The guest in the dormitory room snores too loudly.

                We are not able to help about the problems between guests. If you wish, please ask us during reception hours the next day if it is possible to arrange a different room/different bed.

              • I lost my passport (or valuables).

              • I can't find my shoes.

                Please check the shoeboxes again. The shoeboxes have doors on the top, bottom, left and right. Please open all of them and check once again. Please note that we are not responsible for any lost items.

              • I came in after reception hour, but there is no room key on the reception desk.

                Please check if the check-in date and accommodation name on your reservation details are correct once again.

                Your reservation may have been cancelled by the booking site or by us due to some reasons. Please check again if you have received any notification from booking site or us.

                If the name of the accommodation and check-in date are different , you are not able to stay with us. Please leave here as soon as possible.

              • I can't unlock my padlock and want to break it.

                Please ask the reception staff during reception hours the next day.

              • There are other guests in the room.

                Please check the type of room you have reserved. If your reservation is for a “dormitory room ", you have to share the room with other guests. A dormitory is a type of room that guests stay with other travelers.

              • Male guest in the dormitory.

                All our dormitories are mixed dormitory. We do not have female-only dormitory.

              • I need to call police.

                You can make free phone calls from the pay phone next to the reception desk.
