11:15 Mt. Minamidake (lunch break)

15:15 Yarigatake Sanso Hut
Day 3

11:00 Tokusawa Campsite (lunch break)

DAY1
8:30 Arrived at Kamikochi Bus Terminal
8:40 It was cloudy at Kappabashi Bridge.
10:00 The mountain trail starts from here.
12:00 I had a lunch break at Yokoo Campsite.
12:00 The hardest trail in northern Japanese alps starts beyond this bridge. I might try another time.
13:30 I walked along the river. Sometimes I walked on the river.

14:00 The river flows beautifully.
14:30 I arrived at Yarisawa Lodge which I was going to sleep that day.
There were guest forms in three languages. Japanese, Korean, English.
The reception desk looked fun.
17:00 I had curry and rice for dinner.
If you bring your cooking equipment you can enjoy it.

*Curry powder
*Vegetable pouch
*Can chicken
DAY2
5:00 Back on the trail again.
5:30 Sky was getting lighter.
6:50 Followed the marks. Don’t miss it!
7:30 I kept going to Tenguhara instead of going the direct way.
8:15 Finally I got the view of Mt. Yarigatake.
8:20 It’s Tengu pond. Can you see the reflection of Mt. Yarigatake?
10:30 Arrows started to point to up.
11:00 I arrive at Minamidake Mountain hat.
I had a toilet and lunch break.
Rain water is available at the hat. (1 litre 200 yen)
12:00 Set off to Mt. Yarigatake.
14:00 ‘Hey where is the next mark?’
15:15 I have come this far!!!
15:15 Just a tent is like a castle, isn’t it ?
15:15 I had to give up to go to the top because my stamina was gone. Bye, next time.
DAY3
5:30 It was rainy in the morning.
11:45 I was back in Kamikochi.
13:00 I arrived at Kamikochi Bus terminal.
