Keage Incline
There are many cherry trees around Keage incline area.
It is a famous place for cherry blossoms that many people visit every year for free.
Personally, this is the place to enjoy the cherry blossoms in Kyoto, which I like the most.
There are Kyoto City Zoo, Heian Shrine, and Nanzenji Temple in the vicinity, so you can enjoy your day slowly.
Access
7 minutes walk from “Keage” on the Tozai Subway Line
Take the city bus [5] and get off at “Okazaki Hoshojicho” , walk 4 minutes
Philosopher path
It is a famous place for cherry blossoms where you can enjoy the Philosopher path, which is famous for the path connecting Nanzenji Temple to Ginkakuji Temple.
Why don’t you enjoy cherry blossom viewing while taking a walk along the path that takes about 2 hours to walk slowly. It is recommended to start walking from Ginkakuji temple because it is easier to find the way.
After seeing Ginkakuji temple, you can walk along the Philosopher path to see Eikando and Nanzenji, and you can also go around Keage Incline in one day.

From JR Kyoto Station, take the city bus [100] and get off at “Ginkakuji-mae”, then walk for 5 minutes.
Access to Eikan-do
From JR Kyoto Station, take the city bus [5] and get off at “Nanzenji Eikando Road”, then walk for 3 minutes.
Around Gion Shirakawa river
The cherry blossoms that bloom along the Shirakawa River, cherry blossoms of Gion Shirakawa area, are probably the symbols of the cherry blossoms in Kyoto City. There are times when it is lit up at night, so you can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night for free.
It is also recommended for cherry blossom viewing and cherry blossom viewing at night while taking a walk along the Takase River from Sanjo Dori to Gojo Dori.

Walk a few minutes from Gion Shijo station on Keihan railway.
Hirano Shrine
The cherry blossoms that bloom on the large site are a place you should visit at least once.

From JR Kyoto Station, take the city bus [205] or [50] and get off at “Kinugasako-mae” walk north for 3 minutes.
Maruyama Park
It is a famous place for cherry blossoms loved by locals, and many people can enjoy cherry blossom viewing under the cherry blossom trees by bringing vinyl sheets, food and drinks.
Food stalls and cherry blossoms at night are also popular. We also recommend taking a walk around Yasaka Shrine and Gion.

From JR Kyoto Station, take the city bus [100] and get off at “Gion”, then walk for 3 minutes. It is behind the Yasaka shirne.
Kamo River
Along the Kamo River, which is popular for jogging and walking, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom during the cherry blossom season, signaling the arrival of spring.
The recommended spots are the row of cherry blossom trees around Shiokoji Ohashi bridge and ”Nakaragi no michi ” which is behind the Kyoto botanical garden.
